Genuine Progress Index (GPI) Atlantic

Founded in 1997, GPI Atlantic is an independent, non-profit research and education organization committed to the development of the Genuine Progress Index (GPI) — a new measure of sustainability, wellbeing and quality of life. Our mission is to conduct research on the GPI, and to assist leaders in business, government and communities in using the GPI perspective in their decision-making.

SENSE: Sustainability Education in Nova Scotia for Everyone

Sustainability Education in Nova Scotia for Everyone (SENSE) is a group of organizations, businesses and individuals dedicated to the promotion of ideas and practices which will help Nova Scotia become sustainable. SENSE is part of a national network of Provincial and Territorial Working Groups striving to achieve the objectives of the United Nations' Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) from 2005-2014.

SENSE is a working group of the Nova Scotia Environmental Network.

Nova Scotia Environmental Network (NSEN)

The Nova Scotia Environmental Network (NSEN) is a registered non-profit organization under the Society Act of Nova Scotia. The network is comprised on non-governmental environmental and health organizations whose common purpose is the conservation and enhancement of the natural environment and the pursuit of a sustainable future for Nova Scotia. NSEN is a regional affiliate of the Canadian Environmental Network and is governed by a Board of Directors who are representatives of our provincial member organizations.
